On Saturday, September 28, 2024, Alex Lauser raced the Half Distance of the Waterman’s Triathlon in Rock Hall, Maryland!
This race was a late addition to Alex’s racing schedule; he decided to do it after he had a race-ending mechanical issue on the bike leg of the Peasantman Steel Distance Triathlon back in August. He’s been following a Custom-Built Training Plan all season and we added a bit to it to get him through to this race.
I’m absolutely delighted to report that Alex had a safe, fun, and fast race at Waterman’s Triathlon without any mechanical issues at all! He was strong in all three disciplines and crossed the finish line in third place in his division!
Congratulations, Alex!
On Sunday, September 29, 2024, Jennifer Pearce raced The Bear Chase 10K in Lakewood, Colorado!
Jennifer absolutely loves The Bear Chase and has raced it many times over the years. This year, she opted for the 10K because we’ve traded some running specificity for time and specificity for her to develop her swim this season.
New this season, I recommended that Jennifer try an intentional run/walk strategy during her runs. She has been doing this in training for several weeks now and implemented this strategy on race day. Combined with her solid fueling and hydration plan, this run/walk strategy allowed her to feel good throughout the entire race and finish feeling strong. As a cherry on top of this Sunday race, she also finished in first place in her age group!
Congratulations, Jennifer!
