Sometimes, a rider may want to know if a particular bike is going to work well for them before they purchase it. Enter a Pre-Purchase Bike Fit.
A Pre-Purchase Bike Fit will determine if the geometry and size of the bike is suitable for the rider contemplating the purchase.
If someone purchases a suit, they typically take it to the tailor so that the suit will fit them well and be comfortable to wear. This analogy can be applied to bikes; if you purchase a bike and intend to ride it, why not make sure it is as comfortable and efficient as possible to ride?
Ensuring that you will be comfortable on a bike will greatly enhance your ride experience, making bikes that much more fun to ride. Riders can reduce their risk of injury by simultaneously decreasing stress and increasing efficiency on the bike; a Pre-Purchase Bike Fit helps ensure that the proper muscles are being utilized for movement while riding.
Anyone who is seeking to purchase a bicycle can benefit from a Pre-Purchase Bike Fit – from amateur, first-time riders to high-level, competitive athletes. Everyone who rides a bike deserves to be as comfortable as they can be while they are riding.
A Pre-Purchase Bike Fit is not as time-intensive or extensive as a Bike Fit because its purpose is to ensure that the size and geometry of the bike being considered for purchase are appropriate for the rider. A Bike Fit is more in-depth and is intended for once a rider has a bike and is either riding it or is getting ready to ride it. If you already own your bike, a Bike Fit is the right option for you!
A Pre-Purchase Bike Fit costs $75. Because Pre-Purchase Bike Fits are long (1-hour) appointments, we collect a non-refundable $50 deposit at the time of booking to secure your appointment time. This $50 booking deposit will be credited toward the price of the Pre-Purchase Bike Fit once the service is complete.
