With a seemingly endless number of options on the market, it can be tough for runners to determine which training option is right for them. Training Plans? Custom Training Plans? Personalized Coaching? Unfortunately, there isn’t a standardized way of referring to Coaching or Training Plans, so understanding the differences between services can be challenging and confusing, to say the least.
True Run Coaching is so much more than following a prescribed series of workouts. It is a highly personalized service that factors in many things, including your experience level, your training preferences, your personal schedule, your injury history, your goals, and your goal race. All of these elements are considered as your Run Coach designs your unique training schedule and your workouts.
By hiring a Run Coach, you establish a working partnership and relationship with an expert who cares deeply about your goals and what matters to you and who also has the experience and expertise to help you achieve your goals.
There are almost an infinite number of things that are considered when writing training for a runner. Understanding what to do, what not to do, how to schedule workouts, what types of workouts to do, how long workouts should be, what supportive elements to include, and more can be incredibly challenging and overwhelming, even for athletes who have been running for a long time.
A Running Coach takes the guesswork out of the way for you and lets you focus on the thing you probably love most about the sport of running: Running itself. Your Running Coach will combine their experience with the latest science and knowledge to craft the best training possible for you. Your situation, your goals, and your life are unique, and your Running Coach will develop effective and safe training that fits into your life and helps you reach your true potential.
Whether you are seeking to establish and maintain a healthy lifestyle, to reduce your chances of injury, to finish an important race, to qualify for the Boston Marathon, or to achieve a personal best time at a given running distance, a caring Running Coach can and will help you chart your best course for success.
Our Run Coaching service costs $250 per month with a one-time $100 start-up fee and includes the following:
Your workouts will be delivered to you each week via Final Surge. Scheduling training one week at a time allows your Running Coach to review and analyze your recent training and to recommend the best options for subsequent training in the upcoming week based on how you’re feeling, what your life schedule is like, and how training is actually going for you. This is a highly customized and personalized level of service that is not possible with other types of Training Plans. Your Run Coach will review all of your completed workouts and Post-Workout Notes in Final Surge within 48 hours of when they are uploaded.
Your Run Coach will be a partner you can count on - someone who is as invested in your goals as you are, who will cheer you on, and who will celebrate your accomplishments with you on your running journey.
