NOW ACCEPTING CLIENTS FOR THE 2024 SEASON!
The names of these races might be in contrast to each other, but these two athletes had fun racing this past weekend!
Susan Doberneck took to the trails to run the first event of Ascent Runs’s Winter Trail Series (the Cold Turkey Run) on Saturday, November 4, 2023 in Carson City, Nevada!
The race director of this event has a sense of humor, labeling the distance options as “5K-ish” and “10K-ish.” Susan decided to run the 5K-ish event (it was about four miles). The day turned out to be a beautiful one, and Susan really enjoyed being out on the trails. She felt strong for the entirety of the race and managed her efforts and pacing really well.
Way to go, Susan!
Christina Barker raced The Burn Run 5K in East Syracuse, New York on Sunday, November 5, 2023!
This was a C-Race for Christina, which means it was a supported training run. She stuck to her planned run/walk intervals, which enabled her to feel strong and in control for the entire race.
Great job, Christina!
Laura Henry is a Syracuse, NY-based coach who is a USA Triathlon Level II Long Course and Level II Paratriathlon Certified Coach, USA Cycling Level 2 Certified Coach, VFS Certified Bike Fitter, and has successfully completed NASM's Certified Personal Trainer course.
