It was a fun weekend of racing!

Sarah Grundy ran the Riverwalk Brewing Co. IPA 5K Fall in Newburyport, Massachusetts on Sunday, September 11, 2022!

Sarah signed up for this race with her ten-year-old son Brendan. When she told me about this race, Sarah told me that she would be doing this race as a run/walk with Brendan.

Well, folks.  That is not what happened.

When the race started, Brendan took off like a bolt of lightning, and he never looked back.  He ended up beating Sarah by more than SEVEN minutes (that’s more than two minutes per mile!) and he won his age group!

Sarah also had a strong race, but the glory of the day definitely goes to Brendan.  

Way to go, Team Grundy!

IRONMAN 70.3 Michigan

After a long hiatus, Gerad Levey returned to multisport racing on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at IRONMAN 70.3 Michigan in Frankfort, Michigan!

We had a tight timeline to prepare for this race, but Gerad has been diligent in his preparation since he decided that he was all-in on doing it.  I’m so pleased to report that Gerad had SUCH a strong day in Michigan!  He had a good swim, a SOLID bike, and then pushed himself on the run to a personal best time for the 70.3 distance of triathlon!
