It was a very light weekend of racing for Full Circle Endurance athletes, but nevertheless, it was a good one!
Cazenovia Triathlon - Cazenovia, New York
On Saturday, August 28, Sarah Gerk took on the Olympic distance triathlon at the Cazenovia Triathlon in Cazenovia, NY.
The Cazenovia Triathlon is one of the most (if not the most) challenging triathlon courses in Central New York due to the climbs that are included on its bike and run courses. Sarah loves to race and be engaged with the multisport community, so this event was a great opportunity for her to explore a new-to-her course/area (she lives in Binghamton, NY) while continuing to race and check in to see where she’s at en route to some other triathlon-related goals that she’s set for herself this year.
Sarah was the sixth female out of the water, her strong swim background working to her advantage in this race. After tackling the very challenging bike course, she paced herself well through the run to finish third place in her age group for the day!
I was fortunate enough to be able to be on-site for this race, so I got to see Sarah in action. Her smile was infectious as she made her way through each of the course elements.
Well done, Sarah!
